Nina Watson’s 4/5 graders say that Nina is creative, a good problem-solver, likes to dance, and very straightforward. She keeps us active through projects and hands-on activities. We especially like that we move around a lot in class. We don’t even have assigned seats!

We do a lot of fun history projects that involve dressing up and going back in time to bring history alive. We perform a lot of skits and more dressing up!

Reading and Writing are really important in our class, and it is very creative. There is a really good library in our classroom, and we read all the time. Nina reads to us as well, really good books like: The Watsons Go To Birmingham, Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, Maniac Magee, and Jack on the Tracks. These are some of our favorites.

Nina takes us on the best field trips ever, and she keeps a student store where we can shop, using money (not real) that we earned from homework. We learn how to write checks and balance a checkbook. It is really fun.

Our teacher has been at Manor for six years, and we hope she stays a lot longer.
