Jenni Bahrt
Jenni always wanted to be an artist and teacher. She is from a family of artists and making art, going to museums and taking art classes was a big a part of her life. Jenni graduated with a BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and earned her teaching credential from San Francisco State. She also has an ESL credential from UC Berkeley. She previously taught high school art for six years in San Jose, and taught art and ESL at several San Francisco high schools during the summer. Jenni has taught at Wade Thomas since 2005, although she has been a parent in the district for ten years. Jenni is inspired by her students and the enthusiasm they bring to the art room. She values the importance of art in each child’s development and is thrilled to be part of their early lives. She hopes they will learn to observe their world in a different way and develop a life long appreciation and understanding of art.
