Marin Town and County Club Option
Marin Town and Country Club Eliminated as a District Option
On Thursday, January 14, 2010, at their bimonthly board meeting, the Ross Valley School District Board of Trustees voted to terminate discussions with the owner of MT&CC over the possible purchase of a portion of the site.
The District had hoped to offer the community the option to purchase this property as a possible solution to growing student enrollment, and its need to add additional classroom space.
After preliminary discussions, the District and MT&CC property owner were unable to come to an agreement on details of a partial acquisition, and thus decided against further discussion. The attached documents reflect these discussions, and include:
- Excerpts from the appraisal of the property to determine a District offer price.
(The complete appraisal is available upon request from the District Office). - The District’s initial letter of intent to explore the purchase of a portion of the site.
- The MT&CC owner’s first response to the District’s letter of intent.
- The MT&CC owner’s second response to the District’s letter of intent.
