Ross Valley School District Year in Review 2011-2012
This year's highlights build on the work of many dedicated people throughout our school community over the last few years. This work includes vital decisions we have made together as we continually strive to serve our students. From facility renovation and expansion to new enrollment boundaries, from transitioning into four independent K-5 schools to preparing a new, district-wide Social Emotional Learning curriculum next fall we are taking critical steps that will align our efforts and fulfill our goals of preparing every student for life as a global citizen.
In the near term we look forward to this summer, when White Hill Middle School will begin to transform into a 21st Century Learning and Teaching environment. Outside, facilities will be recreated. Inside, staff will initiate Small Learning Communities to foster closer teacher-teacher and teacher-student relations in mutually supportive, year-long cohorts. And there's so much more to come.
We are inspired by the efforts we see every day focused on offering an excellent education to all of our students. Moving forward, we are eager to enjoy the benefits of this tremendous work together, and to see how we can continually improve and evolve as a community.
