School Events

Morning Meeting(Wednesday mornings)
Kids, families, siblings welcome! Please join us in front of the library.

Back to School Night (Sept. 8) 6:30-8:00 p.m.
This evening is an opportunity for parents to meet their child's teacher and hear about the school year. 

Brookside Bears Barbeque  (Sept. 23, 2011) 5-8:00 p.m.
Families are invited to attend this annual event hosted by the Brookside Parent Club at the Brookside Lower Campus.  

School Picture Days (Sept. 28 & 29)

Octoberfest (October 15, 2011)
Octoberfest is Brookside School’s biggest fundraiser. Parents from both campuses join forces to create a family-friendly carnival held at Lower Campus. It’s a great day full of games, events, music, food and topped off with the 5th grade Haunted House.

Halloween Parade  (Oct. 31, 2011) 1:00
Students parade in their trick-or-treat costumes.  Join us and bring your cameras.
 

Canned Food Drive (November/December)
Bins are placed in the offices to collect food for the Marin Food Bank. Brookside’s generosity helps the Marin Community Food Bank provide healthy, nutritious food to over 3,000 low income and disabled citizens of Marin.

Book Faire Date (November 28-December 2, 2011)

Kindergarten Tours  
Brookside Lower has pre-selected dates available for Kindergarten tours.  For tour date information and to schedule a tour, please call the school office at 453-2948.  Parents only, please.

Kindergarten Orientation (January 11, 2012)
Informational night for parents of incoming kindergarten children. Parents have a chance to meet the kindergarten teachers and hear more about the kindergarten program. 
6:30 p.m. - Brookside Lower Multipurpose Room
Parents only, please.

Lower Campus Variety Show (January 18 & 25, 2012)
This yearly event showcases the talents of Lower Campus students. 

Open House (April 4, 2012) 6:30-8:00 pm
Students get the chance to show their parents much of what they’ve worked so hard on all year. It’s also an opportunity to see what their friends have been working on and preview what they will be doing next year. 

Multicultural Day (May 18, 2012)
