Our Parent Club
The Brookside Parent Club’s primary objectives are to:
- Fund materials and facility items that are not covered by the District and School Site budgets
- Coordinate the volunteer efforts at both Brookside Upper and Lower
- Build a sense of community at our school.
The Parent Club sponsors one major fundraiser a year, Octoberfest. Money raised from Octoberfest has allowed the Brookside Parent Club to purchase such things as laptop/projector carts for Brookside Upper’s instructional use and facility items like picnic tables, umbrellas, sandbox renovation, and sun shades. In addition, the Parent Club hosts the annual Go Bears Barbecue and an end-of-the-year K-5 Campout.

The Parent Club will meet the first Wednesday of every month immediately following "morning meeting" (8:45 a.m.) in the Brookside Lower Campus Multi-Purpose Room. Each meeting will also include an opportunity for parents to hear from the principals at both upper and lower campus and to bring any questions or concerns to them at that time. All Brookside parents are encouraged to attend these meetings. The Parent Club Executive Board welcomes you input as we discuss important school and district issues and events, budget expenditures for school site improvements at Brookside, and much more. Complimentary coffee will be provided by the Coffee Roastery.
