White Hill: Site Council

The White Hill School Site Council

The White Hill School Site Council (WHSSC) is a group of parents, staff and administration who use data to ensure that the school curriculum goals are on track and in line with District and State guidelines and requirements for the students of White Hill Middle School. The WHSSC provides this input for use by the White Hill faculty, District administration, and the Ross Valley School Board.

Meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month, at 3:30pm in the White Hill Library. Agendas are posted as they become available.

Are You a Parent of an Incoming Sixth Grader?
White Hill School Site Council would like to welcome and invite all interested 6th grade parents to consider running for WHSSC.

TERMS/REQUIREMENTS: There are openings for two incoming 6th grade parents. The term for these two positions is for three years. Interested parents need to be available for meetings at White Hill the second Tuesday every month from 3:25 to 5:30pm. In addition to WHSSC monthly meetings, parents should also be willing to do outside work such as reading, preparing notes and agendas and participate in other district related meetings when asked.

HOW TO APPLY: Candidates should prepare a single paragraph as to why they would like to run for the position and submit it to the White Hill School Site Council Chair no later than the second day of school (generally the last Tuesday of August). Elections occur at the 6th and 7/8th grade Back-to-School Nights. The positions are voted on by the entire parent body who attends those back-to-school nights.
