Board of Trustees Meetings

Regular Board meetings are usually held on Wednesday evenings at the RVSD District Office. The regular meeting typically begins between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., and closed sessions, when needed, usually begin at 6:00 p.m. We encourage you to check each meeting agenda for the exact start time. When a closed session is scheduled, the meeting will begin in open session, and the public is warmly invited to share comments related to the closed session agenda. The Board will then meet privately and welcome everyone back into the Board Room once the closed session has concluded. Agendas for regular meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance, typically by 6:00 p.m. on the Friday before the meeting, in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act.

Special Meetings are scheduled as needed and may take place on different days or times. Agendas for these meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance, following Brown Act requirements.

Emergency Meetings may be called when immediate action is required due to an urgent situation affecting public facilities or services. In these rare cases, the Brown Act allows agendas to be posted without the usual 24-hour notice.
