Dear Wade Thomas Families,

Welcome to our Wade Thomas Community!  Wade Thomas is nestled in the heart of San Anselmo and we pride ourselves on welcoming all students and families into our thriving community.  With mindfulness and intentionality, the staff work collaboratively to teach and practice emotional intelligence and wellness with our students each day. We know that when students are happy, calm and feel safe, they are able to thrive academically and develop deep and lasting relationships.  Our incredible teaching staff work together each day to think carefully about every learner’s instructional needs and develop engaging lessons that bring in student voice, choice and critical thinking. This year, we join our Ross Valley School District colleagues in deepening our commitment to racial equity and social justice through teaching our students how to listen with curiosity, understand multiple perspectives in history and today, and use integrity with our words and actions.  Students, staff, and families all come together once a week at our Wednesday assemblies to ground ourselves in our commitment to each other, honoring the history of the native ancestral lands, and to learn new social/emotional skills as a community.  Families are an integral part of the Wade Thomas community, and we welcome volunteerism and participation in many forms to foster and strengthen a strong home/school connection.  Wade Thomas Elementary is truly a special place to be whether you are a student, staff or family member.  We welcome all of you to join our community!
