The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at White Hill acknowledges and honors that we inhabit Coast Miwok land, and that we must work together to ensure justice and equity among all our communities.
We are committed to ensuring that all our families and students feel welcomed, recognized, and represented at our school, and that it is our diverse voices which makes our community strong.
Throughout the year, we engage with our community in multiple ways, from providing educational materials and resources, as well as hosting live conversations with guest speakers on a variety of topics.
During the school year, we hope to impact our White Hill community in the following ways:
Facilitate school-wide anti-bias lessons with all White Hill students
Host a Student-Led Anti-Racist Movement (SLAM) club
Recruit employees and volunteers to help translate communications from the school and between teachers and families
Provide professional development to our teachers on the Recognize, Interrupt, and Repair (RIR) protocol, Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices, and more
Share monthly educational materials and resources through our school-wide communications
