New Student Registration Information

  • TK-8th Grades

    Dear Ross Valley Families,

Welcome to the Ross Valley School District!  We are pleased you have chosen Ross Valley to provide your child/ren’s education and where community inspires infinite possibilities.

This is the time of year when planning begins for the next school year.  We are currently building our school-wide master schedules and staffing needs for next year, and we we are planning for a return in the fall with full days of in-person classes.  We will continue to work with our state and county public health officials to implement the most current guidelines.  Our first day of school this fall is scheduled for Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

If you have a child currently attending school in the Ross Valley School District, there is no need to re-register him/her for a new school year.  Only students who are not currently attending a school in the District are required to register.

See below for more information about new student registration.

    6th Grade Preview Night

6th Grade Preview Night for the 2021-22 school year was held on Thursday, February 11, 2021.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the event was held virtually.  If you were unable to attend, please use this link to watch the video.

Preview Night is an informational evening designed for parents/guardians who have a current 5th grader in attendance at one of your elementary schools or who will be new to RVSD next school year to learn about the 6th grade program and to get an overview of the total school program.  We look forward to seeing you there!

New Students to TK – 8th Grades Registration Process

Our registration process includes online as well as hard copy and in-person components.

For online registration we use SchoolMint. For parents/guardians who do not have computer, online, or smartphone access, technology is available at the school sites.  Because not all required registration items can be provided via SchoolMint, some of the registration process will continue to be required via hard copy and in person at the student’s school of residence.  For parents/guardians who do not have printer access, hard copies are available at the school sites. Please see below for Office Hours.

Student Registration Requirements & Elementary School Enrollment Capacity

To assist the District in enrollment, staffing, and facilities planning, please complete the registration process by March 1 or as soon as possible thereafter.  Because many elementary grade levels and schools in the Ross Valley School District are impacted, a student who registers once a school of residence is at capacity, the student will be assigned to another District school where space is available.  Any reassignments will be determined prior to the student’s first day of attendance.  For middle school, because White Hill is our only 6th-8th grades school, students in these grades are not subject to overflow.

For the 2020-21 school year, Online and In-Person Registrations are currently open.

For the 2021-22 school year, Online and In-Person Registrations are currently open.

Please note that a complete registration packet includes the Online Student Registration Forms in SchoolMint and the In-Person Forms and Documentation submitted to the school of residence.  Please see below for Office Hours.  We do not accept registration items via fax, mail, or email.  Please note that only completed registration packets are accepted and each is date/time stamped, which verifies the registration process is finalized.

    Office Hours

In-person registration is completed at the student’s school of residence.  For TK-5th grades, if you are unsure which school (Brookside, Hidden Valley, Manor, and Wade Thomas) is your child’s School of Residence, for attendance boundary information click here.  All 6th-8th graders register at White Hill Middle School.

For the 2020-21 school year, Online and In-Person Registration is currently open and the school offices are open Monday-Friday (on all student days) from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Since staff may be in meetings and lunch times vary at each site, please call or email the school first to be sure someone will be there to help you.
